City of Tallahassee Best Neighborhood Program Award, Social Improvement
The Best Social Neighborhood Improvement Program award goes to a project focusing on enhancing the social or cultural aspects of a neighborhood be it related to safety, youth and/or senior programs, programs that foster teamwork, or something else.
Taking little steps for Disaster Safety
Dr. Rhonda Blackwell-Flanagan receives Halloween Safety fun for teachers, students, and staff,
from Dr. Kathy Regan Figley, WD neighbor and Green Cross Academy of Traumatology Volunteer.
We will be coordinating with Dr. Flanagan, teachers, and parents for a scaled-down verion of our Fest, Covid permitting.
This year we will activate our plans for the full Fest, to be hosted in Myers Park, Spring 2023.
Planning together with your neighborhood increases overall community safety and helps provide a coordinated response to disaster recovery activities. To guide residents through the planning process, the City offers its Neighborhood Plan for Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) program.
